Head of QHSE & Product Compliance

Flux A/S is a leading designer and manufacturer of custom magnetic components serving demanding industrial, aerospace, defence and power applications. Our headquarters are located in Denmark, and our manufacturing operations take place in Denmark and Thailand. Flux is part of discoverIE plc, an international group of innovative electronics businesses.

We are looking for an experienced Head of QHSE & Product Compliance to lead and develop the quality, health, safety, environment, and ESG function across the organisation.

Reporting to the Managing Director, this leadership role is responsible for ensuring compliance and driving operational excellence, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement across the business. The role has direct responsibility for operations in Denmark while providing governance, support and oversight for the manufacturing operation in Thailand.

The successful candidate will be a credible leader, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. They will also act as the primary point of contact for customers, certification bodies, regulatory authorities, discoverIE Group stakeholders and external auditors on matters relating to the function.


Key responsibilities

 

Quality management, audits & compliance

  • Own and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, AS9100, and other applicable standards

  • Ensure policies, procedures, and quality documentation remain current and effective

  • Lead management reviews, quality performance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and quality excellence across the organisation

  • Lead certification, surveillance, customer and regulatory audits

  • Manage internal audit programmes and ensure timely closure of audit findings and compliance actions

  • Act as the primary contact for certification bodies and customer quality requirements

  • Implement and manage material compliance, including REACH, RoHS, TSCA, PFAS, POPs, Prop 65, CMRT, and EMRT

 

Health, safety, environment & ESG

  • Lead the company's health and safety strategy across offices and manufacturing operations

  • Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations

  • Drive risk assessments, incident investigations, safety training and preventive initiatives

  • Promote a strong safety culture focused on employee wellbeing and accountability

  • Lead environmental compliance and sustainability programmes

  • Coordinate ESG reporting and support discoverIE Group sustainability objectives

  • Drive initiatives focused on energy efficiency, waste reduction, emissions management, and resource optimisation

  • Monitor and report environmental and ESG performance metrics

 

Leadership & stakeholder management

  • Serve as the senior QHSE & Product Compliance leader for Flux

  • Partner with the leadership team to develop and execute the QHSE strategy

  • Provide regular reporting to senior management and discoverIE Group

  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, auditors, regulators, and key stakeholders

An international responsibility

You will provide QHSE leadership, governance, and support to our manufacturing operation in Thailand, ensuring alignment of standards, processes, and reporting across both sites.
A key part of the role will be supporting audit readiness, continuous improvement and best-practice sharing between Denmark and Thailand.

Your qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A degree in engineering, quality, environmental, health and safety or a related discipline

  • Significant experience in a senior quality or QHSE leadership role within manufacturing

  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

  • Proven experience managing quality systems, audits, certifications, and compliance programmes

  • Experience supporting multi-site and international manufacturing operations

  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Fluency in English.

It would be an advantage if you have experience with or knowledge of AS9100, aerospace, defence, electronics or advanced manufacturing, ESG, and sustainability programmes, material compliance, Danish and/or Thai regulatory environments, or hold a lead auditor, Six Sigma or equivalent qualification.

Success in the role will be reflected in maintaining and strengthening relevant certifications, successful audit outcomes, measurable improvements in quality, safety and environmental performance, effective ESG reporting and material compliance, consistent QHSE standards across Denmark and Thailand, and a strong culture of compliance, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
